Banking/Finance/Accounting

I am a Manager at Truliant Federal Credit Union, Clemmons branch. At Truliant, our promise is to always keep your best interest at heart and to help you build something worth having. We also help you strengthen your position and achieve the plans and dreams you've made for you and your family.

I am from Winston Salem and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Management. While at UNC I met my amazing husband and his job brought us back to Winston Salem. I started my career in banking right out of school and have been in banking for over 16 years. It is my passion to help consult with members to uncover needs and find solutions that satisfy them. Banking can be very intimidating and credit unions keep the focus on our members. I've been blessed with 2 children who are the light of my life. Working full time and raising our kids can be a struggle at times for my husband and I, but we love it. We strive to do the best we can and realize that together we can accomplish anything.

My kids are the best thing that I have done in my life. They inspire and teach me about life every day.

My best resource is my members. I love referrals and my members send me the best business. Don't be shy to ask for referrals for anything in life. Utilizing the relationships you have in life can help in any situation. I feel like PWWS helps with this in a big way. We can learn from each other and become better people each day.

Banking is difficult to break into. It's all about your past experience and working your way up. I recommend getting an internship at a bank/credit union so you can see what all is involved. Within the branch, we look for people with cash handling and customer service experience. We need bright, approachable, and outgoing individuals working for us in the branch that can help grow the credit union.

My biggest challenge is balancing family life with work life. I work on it daily and stay positive. There is no need to get stressed out over the little things. Life is too short and my faith guides me always.

I find it hard to ask for help but it is crucial. It is still hard from me to follow this advice but we can lean on each other and flourish. Asking for help doesn't not make you weak, just human.
