Get your smile muscles ready for Marilyn
Sprague-Smith!

It's been said that laughter is the best medicine. Take Time to Laugh & Prevent Hardening of the Attitudes reveals how you can tap into laughter's benefits and lighten  your mental workload. Experience the stress reducing power of laughter exercises for a laughter workout sensation, without the use of jokes or humor. Plus, discover how to replace anger, doubt and fear with a heightened sense of well being; power-up innovation and creativity; use laughter as a stress-reducing self-care strategy; prevent "hardening of the attitudes." Take Time to Laugh will uplift, invigorate and energize. Plus, have you smiling and laughing, just for the laugh of it.  See Marilyn's website at www.miraclesmagicinc.com.

February 13 -- PWWS. Don't miss it.
Letter from our President
Cathy Howe

If you are a member of a gym or participate in physical fitness activities, you are likely to greet overflowing parking lots and crowded classes this time of year.  In one of my own classes recently, I noticed several new faces and felt a sense of empathy for the newcomers as they struggled to look at home among those who were obviously veterans.

"Gee", I thought to myself, "it takes a lot of courage to be new at something", and I believe that it does.

Of course at some point in the learning process we are all newcomers.  Whether it's taking a new class at the Y, starting a new job, or stepping up to the podium for the first time, that initial step can be an uncertain one.  But even the things that we now accomplish with ease demanded a first step and we all mustered the courage to take it.

Our lives are filled with first time experiences, and if we embrace their "newness" those experiences can generate a sense of excitement and accomplishment.  The women of PWWS demonstrate this daily by continually seeking new experiences in order to learn and grow, despite the moments of uncertainty we might experience.  And we demonstrate our sense of empathy each time we extend a hand of welcome to a newcomer to our organization.

I love this quote from Picasso, and think that it describes many of the women of PWWS:  "I am always doing that which I cannot do, so that I may learn to do it."

Have you tried something new lately?  And will you challenge yourself to seek new experiences throughout the year?  I am betting that you will!

Through my business, Logemann & Co. PA, I have helped many clients with each of these as well as other controller and accounting services. My CPA firm specializes in meeting these needs.  I would be happy to help your business associates, too!

Valentine's Day!

Roses are red,

Put a smile on someone's face

And let them know PWWS is thinking of them too!

We are going to send Valentine cards to Winston-Salem Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on First Street in Winston-Salem. The Valentines will be given to the elderly who have no one visiting them or sending them letters to put a smile on their faces.

We will provide Valentines at the meeting, all you have to do is sign and write a little message! If you would like to donate additional Valentines, candies, socks, or other small trinkets, please bring them to the meeting, and we will include them in our Valentine package.

Silent Auction and Networking at the March 12th Meeting!

Bring your silent auction items to next week's meeting!

Have questions?  Please email: Brandy@WinstonSalemLiving.com

PWWS on March 12 offers both our well-received silent auction--bring your checkbooks--and a chance to network, express your opinions (among friends, of course), discover interesting tidbits about your professional colleagues, laugh a little, and generally have an all-round good time.

How? By participating in table networking, rotating among as many tables as you can, and stirring up some energy, laughter, and creativity. This year you'll find provocative, stimulating, maybe even outrageous topics for your discussions, and, as always, the chance to hear how others feel, to learn what they have done in business, to discover what their dreams are, and to find tips for being a successful, happy businesswoman.

All that's needed is you. Come on in and enjoy the fast-paced table networking. Remember to bring lots of business cards to connect with all your new friends, colleagues, and potential clients.
